CTS B.V. in Rotterdam has been awarded contracts by Vopak Oil Rotterdam
for the supply and installation of fourteen (14) aluminium domes and five (5) direct contact aluminium
internal floating roofs for tanks with a diameter of 42m (11 new tanks) and 32m (3 existing tanks).
This order involves materials and services for an investment program at the Vopak Oil Rotterdam terminal
in The Netherlands for:
|
| - |
the construction of 5pcs 42m aluminium dome roof tanks for Jet Fuel (200,000 cbm capacity),
tanks to be equipped with direct contact aluminium internal floating roofs |
| - |
the construction of 6pcs 42m aluminium dome roof tanks (tanks to be heated and insulated) for the storage
of Fuel Oil (240,000 cbm capacity) |
| - |
the installation of 3pcs 32m aluminium dome roofs on existing external floating roof tanks |
The fact that all these 14 tanks will be covered using aluminium dome roofs will
ensure utilisation of the best available technology for tank. As a result the
highest environmental standards for the stored products will be met and minimal future
maintenance on these tanks will be required. All tanks will be executed according to all relevant tank building
standards, such as API650, EN14015. As a result of the well engineered design the tanks will meet all environmental requirements, including the most stringent requirements recently
published

| For the 5 new Jet Fuel tanks the installation of aluminium direct contact internal floating roofs
under the aluminium dome roofs will optimise the reduction of emission of volatile organic carbons.
Converting existing external floating roof tanks to internal floating roof tanks eliminates
water ingress in the stored product and reduces emissions of volatile organic carbons considerably,
because the covering aluminium dome roof eliminates the infulence of wind and sun. |
