2007, another year of impressive international growth for CTS From 2004 onward CTS has developed itself to a market leader in the engineering, distribution and installation of products and systems for atmospheric storage tanks. Significant international growth was realised in 2005 and 2006, but 2007 was a year breaking all records with respect to growth and projects completed.
In 2007 CTS was contracted to supply 3 aluminium domes and 3 direct contact internal floating roofs for 3 new Methanol tanks under construction at the Odfjell Terminal Rotterdam (OTR).
As part of a program reducing refinery emissions CTS was contacted in 2006 to support a design review for several ExxonMobil tanks, and to study options to reduce emissions of volatile organic carbons from these tanks. CTS presented an approach where installing aluminium domes would significantly reduce emissions from external floating roof tanks being converted to internal floating roof tanks.
One of the other recent highlights at CTS was a contract involving the design, manufacturing and supply of 4 floating suction lines to South America.
Per the end of 2007 CTS received an order for supplying CTS1 scissor type shoe plate seals combined with CTS20 secondary seals to several tanks operated by Shell Nigeria. The CTS1 is a new generation scissor type shoe plate seal, doing away with the concerns the traditional counter weight driven seals had.
The management of CTS has an extensive track record in this industry, and is therefore excellently capable of selecting and installing the best products in this area. Our experience and approach ensure a timely and effective delivery and installation of our products.
